The song was inspired by the 15 year anniversary of Mykill’s debut album “It’s Been A Long Time Coming”, and a song that he and Planet Asia recorded for that project. “Asia and I travel in the same circles, so it was inevitable for us to work together again”, said Mykill Miers. He would later thank the writer during an interview, for giving him the inspiration to make the song. Both artists rap with their distinct, Cali aggressive styles, with a heart pounded beat that suits both rappers well.
The song's composition was original made for a project that was to feature Mykill and DJ Devastate together, but do to unknown issues, Mykill decided to focus on his solo album and thought the song would be a great lead single. “I sent the track to Planet Asia and his verse inspired my whole flow. I always felt we had a comrade and we have a mutual respect for one another’s talent. Once Devastate added the cuts it but the icing on the cake so to speak”.
The song's production was created by Dj Devastate.
